Spring Break 2007

Well, we have made it back from Disney World for Spring Break. We had a fabulous time and wish we could've stayed longer. At least Ashleigh and I do. Craig was ready to come back home after day 2. He doesn't do real well with the long lines, heat and crowds. He played golf on Monday, so that helped. Ashleigh and I had a blast going from park to park and hitting all the good rides and meeting some characters along the way. On Tuesday we had breakfast with Cinderella and all the princesses in the castle in Magic Kingdom. That was incredible. Such fun!! Ashleigh got an autograph book and was able to fill every page. She got all the princesses signautures and then some other characters as well. As far as the rides go, Ashleigh was brave and rode all the big ones she could. She had the most fun on Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at Magic Kingdom. I rode Tower or Terror with her at MGM Studios. Neither one of us cared for that one (I forgot it dropped you like 6 times!!)

Craig's favorite rides were at Universal Studios. Thanks to Dennis we were able to enjoy little or no lines and a good meal with some of the caddies and players from the PGA tour. It was great to catch up with him and spend some time, Ashleigh was so excited and surprised!!

We were able to play two games of miniature golf while we were there also. Craig won both times, but not by much! Ashleigh got the hang of it by the second round. We all got to make a couple of hole-in-ones.

As with every vacation, we took lots of pictures - almost 250 actually. We were so excited to get home and put them on the computer and show everyone. Well, unfortunately that isn't going to happen. Somehow we lost the bag that our cameras were in. The video camera, digital camera and our MP3 players were all lost the morning of our departure to come back home. I have been in contact with everyone that I can think of to try to help find it, but with no luck so far. It doesn't look like it will turn up. So, I am sorry for that and sorry that we can not show you how much fun we had on our trip. It makes it a little bitter-sweet. It was such a great time, but until we got home :(

I will try to scan a couple of the photos that we got from Splash Mountain and breakfast with Cinderella shortly and post them. We do have some photos from Disney's Photopass card that is really neat. It's like a card that they scan at each "Kodak Moment" spot that you want your picture taken and when you get home you can look at all of them online. I think we had a total of 80 something pictures with the card. So, not all is lost, we will cherish what we have. It's just sad and it's been hard to realize that we won't have those lost pictures.

Anyway, enough of wallowing in my sorrows. I will post more another time. But for now, enjoy some pictures of Ryleigh, Craig and Ashleigh. Ryleigh, by the way is on the move full speed crawling now. She is pulling up and starting to walk around some furniture. She also has about 5 more teeth coming in all at the same time. She did great while we were gone with Zoey. (And by the way, she wasn't excited to see me or even Craig really, she was mostly excited to see Ashleigh - how funny) Thanks, Mom, for keeping Ryleigh for the week. We really appreciate it and couldn't have asked for a better babysitter!!
